About EndoRel Biosciences
EndoRel Biosciences, founded in 2021 and located in Portland Oregon, is a biotechnology company with proprietary technology to enhance intracellular delivery of drugs and drug carriers. With our endosomal release technology, we aim to drive the development of intracellular therapeutics. We are looking to collaborate or partner with groups with technology that could benefit from enhanced endosomal release.

Jean Summerton, PhD
Founder and CEO
Dr. Summerton holds a B.A. in Chemistry from Reed College, an M.S. in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Oregon Health and Science University. Dr Summerton has a broad background in chemistry, with expertise and industry experience in small molecule organic synthesis, peptide synthesis and bioconjugation chemistry. Dr Summerton is co-inventor of the novel Endosomal Release technology and led the development team though the prototype phase and initial in vitro and in vivo testing.
Jeremy Bushman, PhD
Founder and CTO
Dr. Bushman was a Pfizer Undergraduate Fellow with a B.S. in Chemistry from UW-Madison, a NIH Graduate Fellow with a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from OHSU, and a NIH Postdoctoral Fellow at USC. Dr. Bushman worked in a variety of industries including biotechnology. He published primary research articles in several fields including Biochemistry, Molecular Physiology, and Diabetes. As an R&D Scientist, he was responsible for research programs involving synthetic organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, and discovery biology. Dr. Bushman co-invented the novel endosomal release technology and continues to develop new applications.
